The academic program in Artificial Intelligence is a curated sequence of courses embedded within undergraduate curriculum of the MSU Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics
spanning three years, the curriculum progresses from foundational study in machine learning, deep learning and neural network to advanced electives across contemporary AI.
The complete course catalogue is available on the official website.
The program is open at no additional cost to all undergraduate students of the Faculty. Participants may shape individual academic pathway aligned with their specialization and intellectual interests
To earn the program certificate, students are to complete:
Three required courses
At least four approved electives
A final qualifying thesis focused on AI
The "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence" course is currently open to all students of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics at Lomonosov Moscow State University. Given the interest in this field, anyone wishing to join is welcome.
Classes for the first cohort of the Academic Program began on February 8, 2021, in a remote format (via ZOOM). For convenience, all lecture materials are available to course participants on a dedicated platform.
The first graduation of this program will take place in 2024.
Detailed information about the dates and registration process for the 2023/2026 program will be posted separately.
Admission to the second cohort of the Academic Program in Artificial Intelligence ended in the second half of January 2022.
Any student of the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics can join the program.
Participants choose an individual path depending on their department and specialization. To successfully complete the program and receive a certificate, students will need to complete 3 required courses and at least 4 elective courses from the list of recommended courses, as well as defend a final qualification project related to artificial intelligence topics.
Training for students participating in the Academic Program began with the required course "Introduction to Artificial Intelligence" in February 2022. In the fall semester of 2022, the program will continue with the "Machine Learning" course and elective courses.
Detailed information about the dates and registration process for the 2023/2026 program will be posted separately.
