On June 27, the Faculty of Computational Mathematics and Cybernetics of Moscow State University hosted the ceremony of awarding certificates to graduates of the Academic Program on Artificial Intelligence. During their studies, students have mastered modern methods of artificial intelligence and machine learning, received deep fundamental training and gained experience in solving applied problems relevant both in science and industry.
"Participation in the academic program allowed me to enter from scratch into a field that has interested me since childhood – artificial intelligence. As part of the program, I learned all the necessary tools for basic scientific research: from programming languages and a serious mathematical base to the implementation and support of real models in completely different domains. I will say separately that the program provides flexibility: you can build an individual learning trajectory by choosing courses according to your request. My participation was strongly intertwined with my studies at the Department of Mathematical Forecasting Methods. And, most importantly, it was with participation in the academic program that my collaboration with the Intellect Foundation began and I gained access to the university community of scientists passionate about AI, with whom I continue to interact even after graduation,"Ruslan Voit, a graduate of the program, said.
For each graduate, the program has become not only an opportunity to gain new knowledge, but also a starting point for further professional development. Someone has taken the first steps in scientific research, someone has decided on a future specialization, and someone has already been able to start a career in leading Russian companies during their studies.
"The courses of the academic program on AI helped me to "feel" technology with my hands, to understand the possibilities and limitations of neural networks. The main discovery for me is that I have found a direction that is really interesting to dive into, and I have chosen this development trajectory for myself. From practical skills: I learned not to be afraid to read the original articles of the authors of neural networks and began to write more confidently in PyTorch. In general, the material in the program is presented in a very understandable form, with clear illustrations and detailed comments, which allows you to immerse yourself in the basics of computer vision without stress. The most useful course for my career was "Neural Networks in Image Processing": it was thanks to him that I was able to get an internship at Yandex in Machine Learning!"<says Alexey Ivanov, another graduate of the program.
The academic program in AI is a specialized educational trajectory integrated into the Bachelor's degree program at Moscow State University. It is open to full-time students and allows them to receive in-depth training in artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analysis, combining a fundamental approach with solving relevant scientific and applied problems.
