The goal of the course “Problems, Risks, and Limitations of AI Application in Medicine and Education” is to develop students’ skills in conducting socio‑humanitarian expertise based on projects involving the use of AI in medicine and education.

During the course, students will:

develop an understanding of the essence, goals, and tasks of socio‑humanitarian expertise;
become familiar with the prospects and risks of using AI in medicine as a science, practice, and healthcare sector;
learn about the opportunities and limitations of using AI in education, considering education as a system, a process, and an outcome.

Topics covered in the course:

Section 1. Socio‑Humanitarian Expertise: Concept, Goals, and Significance

Topic 1.1. The role of axiological factors in the development of modern technoscience.

Topic 1.2. The essence of socio‑humanitarian expertise.

Section 2. Medicine as a Field for AI Application: Philosophical Issues

Topic 2.1. Artificial intelligence in medicine: socio‑philosophical problems.

Topic 2.2. Specific aspects of regulating the use of experimental AI technologies in medicine.

Section 3. Education as a System, Process, and Outcome through the Lens of AI Application

Topic 3.1. Artificial intelligence in education: goals of application, outcomes, and limitations.

Topic 3.2. Specific aspects of regulating the use of experimental artificial intelligence technologies in education.

Section 4. Bioethical and Neuroethical Regulation: Similarities and Differences

Topic 4.1. Neuroethics: specifics and main interpretations of the subject. Bioethics and neuroethics: the problem of correlation.

Topic 4.2. Neuroethical regulation of digital technologies.

Section 5. Applied Aspects of Conducting Socio‑Humanitarian Expertise for AI Projects in Medicine and Education

Topic 5.1. Levels and formats of socio‑humanitarian expertise. The role of ethical codes in AI regulation.

Topic 5.2. Work of ethics committees: practical aspects of organizing socio‑humanitarian expertise.

The course program includes 18 sessions: 9 lectures and 9 seminars

Занятия проводятся на базе Философского факультета МГУ им. М. В. Ломоносова

В программе курса 18 занятий: 9 лекций и 9 семинаров

Старт курса: с 16 февраля 2023 года

Занятия будут проходить по четвергам с 17:00

Формат занятий: онлайн (дистанционно)

В конце курса слушатели выполнят одно практическое письменное задание. Они воспроизведут модель социально-гуманитарной экспертизы реального проекта применения системы ИИ в медицине или в образовании.
