The course is designed for students in natural science and IT fields. During the course, participants will learn about the current state of the field of neural interface development. The course will cover both the biological aspects of brain–computer interfaces and the structure of the devices themselves. Special emphasis will be placed on analyzing brain activity data obtained from such devices.
Among the lecturers are practicing neurosurgeons as well as world‑class specialists in neural interface development.
The course includes 11 lectures and 10 seminars. During the seminars, students will learn to solve various types of problems related to the analysis of neurobiological data; they will discover how to assemble a basic neural interface from readily available components; and they will observe a neural interface implantation procedure on an animal model.
The course program includes 21 sessions: 11 lectures and 10 seminars
Students are expected to have basic Python programming skills.
Basic knowledge of the principles of nervous system functioning is welcome but not mandatory.
