Grant support for young scientists with a Candidate of Sciences / PhD degree (postdocs)

Competition goal:

  • attracting to Lomonosov Moscow State University young and talented scientists conducting fundamental and applied research in the field of artificial intelligence, cognitive systems, and the brain.

Research areas:

    • "Mathematical Aspects of Artificial Intelligence Algorithms,"
    • "Engineering and Natural Science Applications of Artificial Intelligence,"
    • "Biomedical and Chemical Applications of Artificial Intelligence,"
    • "Cognitive Systems and the Brain,"
    • "Humanities and Business Aspects of Artificial Intelligence Applications."
  • 5 winners will receive financial support for their research work at Lomonosov Moscow State University in the amount of
    200,000 RUB per month for a period of up to two years.

Requirements:

    • under 35 years of age,
    • a Candidate of Sciences or PhD degree,
    • at least 3 publications in journals indexed by WoS, Scopus, VAK, or RSCI, published between 01.03.2021 and the present, related to the competition's priority topics.

Competition stages:

    • Stage 1.
      Application submission. Applications are accepted by the Competition's Organizing Committee (Lomonosov Moscow State University).
    • Stage 2.
      Application review. Applications admitted to the competition are distributed among experts according to their research areas.
    • Stage 3.
      Application evaluation. The competition's Expert Council reviews the experts' findings and compiles a ranking of all applications.
    • Stage 4.
      Announcement of winners. The Organizing Committee determines the competition's winners, after which employment contracts are concluded.

How to apply for the competition?

    • Study the Competition Regulations and familiarize yourself with the competition terms.
    • Decide on your research topic.
    • Decide on a research supervisor and an MSU department that conducts academic and research work on the topic you have chosen.
    • Together with your research supervisor, fill out an application to participate in the competition.
    • Check that your application meets the competition criteria, and attach the necessary information about your project.
    • Your research supervisor submits your application through the "ISTINA" information system.
    • Wait for the review results.
